Laptop Only Charges When Turned Off

Hi, i had the same problem. My laptop was charging only till 59% and then stop charging. After 59% it showed = (plugged in, not charging). Now follow the steps to know how i resolved my issue: 1)click on the start menu 2)If you are using ASUS lap. The laptop can then actually refuse to charge, or charge more slowly, or not charge unless the laptop is powered down and the identification chip asleep, if it feels that the charger isn't its manufacturer-ordained soul-mate. If something interferes with the protocol, the charging process might be hindered. If your laptop refuses to charge the battery even though it acknowledges that it's plugged in, here's what you need to do: Open the Device Manager by searching for it or right-clicking the Start. As soon as I saw a warning that there is only 5% power, I connected the charger to the power. Unlike other times when the battery charge gets immediately going up, this time the battery indicator light turned red and the laptop was shut off. I tried to reboot and but still the light was red and the laptop was getting turned off.
